The San Diego Chinese Historical Museum is proud to present a lecture and book signing featuring Erika Lee & Judy Yung’s latest book, Angel Island: Immigrant Gateway to America. In this landmark book, the authors present extensive new research into immigration records, oral histories, & inscriptions on detention center barrack walls producing the first comprehensive history of the Angel Island Immigration Station & the people who arrived there. The lecture & book signing will be held in the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Extension building at 328 J Street on Saturday, September 11th from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. Following the lecture, refreshments will be served at the reception held in the Chuang Garden at 404 Third Avenue. Admission is $2 & free for members & children under 12.
