To launch their new album together, 'On the Edge of a Perfect Moment', Bristol-based saxophonist Sheppard and Italian pianist Marcotulli present a special premiere performance of their sensuous and melodic collaborations. As well as being one of Europe's most startlingly gifted pianists, with a rhapsodic style that has been compared to Keith Jarrett and Chick Corea, Marcotulli is also a celebrated composer whose evocation of the films of Francois Truffaut, 'The Woman Next Door' (Label Bleu), was considered the best jazz album of its year by The Independent. Sheppard and Marcotulli's previous sell-out appearance at St George's - an event that crystallised their decision to record together - proved a total triumph.
