In 2000, Andrew Austin emerged from his role as piano player/backup singer for award winning London pop/rock band Sky fish and began the rock group Corduroy. The 20 year old was a budding songwriter with boundless energy and "a voice that should be insured for one million dollars." (Rob Isabella - Edmonton Sun) Corduroy developed a small following between London and Toronto when they released their debut EP entitled "Yup." The Corduroy went on to win every band competition it entered and Andrew had two top 5 songs on the CHRW radio including a number one with "Smiles Rhymes With Miles," and "Yup" became the ..1 CD on the CHRW top 30. "Yup" sold 1500 copies before the band broke up in 2002.

The following fall Andrew traveled to Liverpool England where he wrote and recorded gigged and busked. Upon his return to Canada in 2003 Andrew has been playing throughout Canada as the musical Director of Canadian singer/songwriter Andy Kim as well as attending the Harris Institute for the Arts in Toronto.

Whether playing with his full funky, jazzy rock-band or just singing soulfully with an acoustic guitar, Andrew's live concerts are known as some of the best performances in Toronto.

Andrew's debut solo EP is due for release this March and will show the full range of Andrew's soulful folkier side. Reintroducing to his audience what he is capable of with his voice and a guitar. Andrew's much anticipated full length album, which will show the energy Andrew possesses when a full band is behind him is due in the summer of 2006.
