Flutist Andrea Brachfeld, a graduate of the Manhattan School of Music, has recorded dozens of CDs. She received the Chico O'Farrill Lifetime Achievement Award and was the first female flutist to play Charanga in the United States. Study with Hubert Laws, Jimmy Heath, and Mike Longo helped her develop her own style. She currently leads Phoenix Rising and has five CDs out as a leader.
