Playing traditional instruments like the morin khuur (horsehead fiddle) and singing in the khoomii style of overtone vocals, AnDa Union reveals a world that is largely hidden from view in the United States.
Their music comes from each of the Mongol tribes that Genghis Khan unified and the performers have different ethnic backgrounds, creating a richly diversified program with a pounding, percussive pulse at its core.
