In a moving tribute to two of the greatest African American thinkers of all time, the Gemini-award winning Nathaniel Dett Chorale presents The Niagara Movement. This dramatic staging – in verse, image, and song – depicts the lifelong debate between W.E.B. DuBois (pronounce BOYS) and Booker T. Washington over how to gain full civil rights for their people. Bringing history to life will be acclaimed actors Jim Codrington and Andrew Moodie. This moving tribute is one of the official events celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Canada Council for the Arts.
