Anatomy, a new play by Bob Lane November 16, 2007

When they find nude pictures of his daughter in his office desk, the police accuse Simon, an Episcopal priest, of sexually abusing her. A police detective, Ed, himself an ex-Catholic priest, interrogates Simon, vowing to "nail him." Meanwhile, a social worker, Sharon, who has her own issues, interrogates Simon's daughter Julie, a precocious yet vulnerable teenager, promising her that she only wants to help her. Though the mounting evidence seems to point to Simon's guilt, the equivocal relationships that form between each pair produce revelations that complicate the picture. The characters' disclosures lead to an intense and surprising climax, exposing wounds that may not ever heal.
