What happens when you combine a living composer, a symphony orchestra, an elementary school, and NASA? The world premier of An Orchestra?s Guide To The Universe: a multimedia journey through the universe featuring a chorus of over 100 elementary school children and images from space. This spectacular performance, to be featured at this year?s Maryland Day celebration at the University of Maryland, is the culminating event in a new type of educational partnership program called the ?Concert Curriculum.?

?An Orchestra?s Guide To The Universe? by Arthur Bloom will be presented at 10:30 AM on April 29, 2006, ?Maryland Day,? in the Dekelboum Concert Hall of the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center at the University of Maryland in College Park. James Ross will conduct the University of Maryland Symphony Orchestra and the entire 5th and 6th grade classes from Berwyn Heights Elementary School, with space imagery provided by NASA.
