* This workshop is offered for people interested in a balanced life, respect for nature, and social change.

* This workshop is designed to allow participants to become more effective, more joyous, and imaginative agents of social change.

* By sharing our responses to the present condition of the world, reframing our despair, and learning concepts of interconnectedness, a clarification of our intent to heal the world will emerge.

“Thinking Like a Mountain”

… can help us move beyond the sense of alienation from the living Earth that most of us feel.

* Many people intellectually realize that we are inseparable from Nature,

but few of us really experience our intimate connection with Nature.

* When we develop empathy for the Earth, when we realize that its pain is our pain, that its fate is our fate, … we find new clarity, inspiration, and commitment.

* Thinking Like a Mountain helps us remember our deep connection with the Earth, reassess our patterns of consumption, rediscover our needs for intimacy and support, and redefine our priorities for action.

This workshop is based on work by Dr. Joanna Macy www.joannamacy.net and other activists from around the world. It is designed to awaken our cognitive, psychological, and spiritual resources. They assume that no matter where you are on your path that these concepts and experiences will deepen the journey and hence influence your actions.
