Theatre Passe Muraille proudly opens its 41st Season with Newfoundland’s favourite son – Gemini Award-winning Andy Jones in his acclaimed one-man show, An Evening with Uncle Val. Halifax’s Chronicle-Herald said, “Andy Jones is so brilliant and heart-warming, you wish you could hold his words in your fingers like a string of worry beads…. Do yourself a favor and go see (it).” Jones’ show brings humour and life to the cultural clash between traditional outport life and late-80s modernizing Newfoundland. Best known for his work with the groundbreaking comedy troupe CODCO, in both its theatrical and CBC television incarnations, Jones continues his 18-stop Canadian tour with this comedic gem.
