Roger McGuinn (Mr. Tambourine Man) not only lived history, he made history with his fearless sense of experimentation. A Chicago native, McGuinn started as a folk musician, studying at the Old Town School of Folk Music and performing on the Chicago music scene. In the early 1960s, McGuinn added a rock beat to his folk repertoire and met up with Gene Clark and David Crosby to co-found The Byrds.
