The University of St. Thomas Drama Department will host a one-man show of comic readings at “An Evening with Robert Cooper,” at 7:30 p.m., on Saturday, Feb. 26, in Jones Hall, 3910 Yoakum.

Cooper, a 1980 UST alumnus, is a writer, comedian, actor, musician and public speaker having entertained and lectured on the radio and television and at clubs, colleges and conventions nationwide. Cooper’s book, “Pruning the Family Tree” is a collection of short stories first published in UST literary Journals. “Abel” is a thriller set in Houston involving UST characters and settings.
The event is free and open to the public, but 50 percent of Cooper’s book sales will benefit the Sam Havens Drama Scholarship Fund. Havens is a UST professor emeritus of drama who retired in 2009 after a 40-year career at UST.

The performance will be recorded for CD and DVD release. For more information, visit www.robertcooperonline.com. RSVP to cooperonstage@live.com.
