Join KPTS for their 40th Anniversary Dinner, An Evening with Jim Lehrer. Lehrer, a Wichita native and one of America’s most respected journalists, will share stories, commentary and insights from a career that spans five decades. Tickets include cocktail reception, two drink tickets and your choice of dinner entree. The cocktail reception starts at 6:00 p.m. Dinner will be served at 7:00 p.m. followed by the program at 8:15 p.m.

After 40 years of broadcasting, KPTS continues to serve south central Kansas as the only locally owned television station in the area. Since the station’s initial broadcast of Sesame Street on January 5, 1970, it has continued to dedicate itself to offering quality, enriching, educational programming throughout the region.
