Do you have family stories about Abraham Lincoln? Is there a treasure in your attic related to Lincoln that you’d like to share? On Wednesday, July 29 the Lincoln Society of Dayton will present “An Evening with A. Lincoln” at Wright Library from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. This family-oriented potpourri of Lincoln stories, music, myth-busting, trivia (and prizes!) will make for a fun and educational family outing.
The Lincoln Society is a non-profit organization working to keep the Lincoln ideals alive and relevant in today’s world. This year the Society is commemorating the 150th anniversary of Lincoln’s speech at Dayton’s Old Court House as well as the 200th anniversary of his birth. Their website is http://www.lincolnsocietyofdayton.org.
The program will be held in the library meeting room. No advance registration is necessary. Anyone with questions can contact the library at (937) 294-7171.
