An evening of Stories and Music to remember Skip Wollenberg April 15, 2011

Mendocino Stories and Music Series will honor the life of Skip Wollenberg on Friday, April 15 at the Mendocino Hotel. The first half of the evening will be filled with stories and readings from Skip’s work, by family and friends. There will be music in the second half, with jazz duo Mike Wollenberg and Julian Smedley. The program will start at 7:30PM at the Mendocino Hotel.
Skip Wollenberg, a great friend and supporter of Mendocino Stories, was a geologist whose travels took him from Greenland to Siberia to Patagonia. The geology and geography of his settings are backdrops for the characters and situations of his travel stories.
Music in the second half of the evening will be performed by Skip’s son Mike Wollenberg and his longtime musical partner Julian Smedley. The duo explores acoustic jazz with just violin and guitar, allowing for an intimate musical conversation
All Ages Welcome! Bistro menu and drinks are available as soon as the doors open at 6:30PM.
