Many women have experienced the pull between career and family, but how many have had to wrestle with this decision while in the media's spotlight? Wendy Wasserstein's political satire An American Daughter does just that. As the U.S. watches the progress of its first viable female candidate for president, Wasserstein¹s pointed comedy seems timelier than ever.

The Orange Girls Theatre Company production of An American Daughter marks the third and final installment in the Wendy City series, a joint-effort between The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, The New Jewish Theatre, and The Orange Girls to pay tribute to the late Wendy Wasserstein by featuring her work on their stages.

The Orange Girls¹ production, directed by Chris Limber, features local favorites Colleen Backer, Joe Hanrahan, Penney Kols, Joel Lewis, Richard Lewis, Monica Parks*, Beth Prindable, Mary Schnitzler, Kevin Kline Award Nominee David Wassilak, and Jeffrey Wright.
