Travel back to the thrilling days of yesteryear as the Williamsburg Regional Library and the Williamsburg Classic Movie Guild presents a showing of classic western films on Saturday, February 17 from 1 to 4 p.m. in the Kitzinger Community Room at the James City County Library, 7770 Croaker Road, Norge. Features to be shown include "The Durango Kid" staring Charles Starrett and "Bordertown Gun Fighters" staring Wild Bill Elliott. A newsreel and Three Stooges short will round out the afternoon.
The Williamsburg Classic Movie Guild, which co-sponsors this afternoon of films, is an organization of movie fans dedicated to celebrating and promoting Hollywood's golden era, when ticket prices were low and expectations high for exciting family entertainment. The Guild sponsors the Williamsburg Film Festival, which is slated for its 10th annual gathering from March 7 through 10.
