Beverly resident David Boyle's solo play offers a funny, sometimes-cynical-sometimes-tender look at the Roman Catholic laity and their relationship with Church in the twenty-first century. This play is a fictional account of Boyle’s life as a church musician based on the south side of Chicago.
Performing dozens of characters in this one act play, Boyle takes us "behind the scenes" in the life of a church musician.
This past October Boyle performed the play at Gorilla Tango Theatre in the Bucktown neighborhood and is pleased to announce that he will be performing it at The Music Station on Friday evenings February 4, 11, 18 & 25.
