Amy Grant needs no introduction to Contemporary Christian music fans. Amy is often considered one the most influential artists of the past several decades. Not only a wonderful singer but also a talented songwriter, she was the first Contemporary Christian artist to hit #1 on the popular music charts and become a true “crossover” success.
Her efforts to take the Contemporary Christian genre to a more main-stream audience eventually helped take the genre to a whole new level and a wider audience.
Amy’s thirty-year career has endured largely because of her heart-felt style and the mix of elements from pop, rock, and country music. Those genres, and her Christian music roots, are all showcased in her selections for each performance.
Amy has continued to write, record and perform music about life and love, faith and heartbreak, and hope and healing. Her music continues to be part of the fabric of life for long-time listeners and brand new fans.
The Gospel Music Association has honored her with 25 Dove Awards including four of the association’s top award, “Artist of the Year”. She has also been awarded six Grammy® Awards.
