Photographer Amy Arbus and author A. M. Homes discuss the cultural and artistic milieu of New York during the 1980s. Arbus is a contributing photographer to New York Magazine’s theater section. Her third book, On the Street, features selected images from her monthly page that appeared in the style section of The Village Voice in the 1980s. Homes has authored many books including the critically acclaimed short story collection The Safety of Objects and the recent novel This Book Will Save Your Life. She is a regular contributor to Vanity Fair, The New Yorker, and Artforum.
