AMODA's 44th Digital Showcase is a celebration of video games and the art that they inspire. Renown musicians and visual artists will congregate at Club DeVille on September 20th to display art or perform music they have created using video game hardware, music, graphics or coding.
Two musicians from New York's 8bitpeoples collective will headline the event. Nullsleep and Bit Shifter create their music using the Nintendo Gameboy and other retro video game equipment. The event will also feature live video art by New York-based artist Voltage Controlled, who uses video game hardware to generate his live visual performance.
This Digital Showcase is organized in conjunction with Arthouse’s current exhibition RESET/PLAY, a critical exploration of the intersection between video games and visual art. The exhibition is on view at Arthouse (700 Congress Avenue) through November 2, 2008
