Amnesty International Cell Tour - Philadelphia Stop
Special Event
Sunday, June 1, from noon to 2pm
Dilworth Plaza, 1400 JFK Blvd (right next to City Hall), Philadelphia
featuring music by the Late Night Drifters.
Larry Cox, Executive Director of AIUSA, will be speaking as well.
The event is free.
The Cell itself will also be open from 10am to 4pm.
Amnesty International is touring the country with a replica of a Guantánamo Bay prison cell. You'll be able to enter the cell, go through the conditions of isolation and record a video message to President Bush, letting him know where you stand on Guantánamo and torture, and before leaving, you can tear down a pixel of Guantánamo and join our call for detainees to be charged and given fair trials or released.
