This event, part of the Canada Festival at the Americas Society (February to May 2008), focuses on the latest issue of the Society's Review 76, which examines contemporary Canadian writing and arts. The program includes readings by acclaimed novelist Camilla Gibb (Sweetness in the Belly) and poet Hermenegilde Chiasson (Lectures), with comments by the editors of Review 76. The publication focuses on currents in contemporary writing from throughout Canada, including literature in English and French, as well as aboriginal and immigrant literatures. The selections presented in this issue provide a glimpse of the multicultural and multi-generational faces of Canadian writing today.
