America's Best Idea Volunteer September 26, 2009

Volunteers across the United States will participate in the National Park Service Volunteer Day to recognize the National Parks as "America`s Best Idea." In the Florida District, the annual fall beach cleanup will be held at Perdido Key, Naval Live Oaks, Fort Pickens, and Santa Rosa Area on Saturday, September 26th from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Volunteers at the Naval Live Oaks Area are invited to breakfast before the cleanup and to the "Great American Picnic" at noon sponsored by the National Park Foundation, Unilever, and Wal-Mart. Tee-shirts will be provided to cleanup volunteers at all locations. Volunteers need to bring sun block, water, and a hat. Bags and marine debris data cards will be provided.
