Americans for United Nations Population Fund March 3, 2011

The United Nations Population Fund, UNFPA, provides women’s health care and promotes the rights of women in 140 countries. UNFPA is the largest multi-lateral source of such assistance with a budget of more than $600 million annually. UNFPA’s initiatives include maternal health, HIV prevention, family planning, ending gender-based violence, and promoting the education and economic empowerment of girls and women.

Co Chairs of the 2011 San Francisco Gala for the Health and Dignity of Women are Robin Wright Penn, Toyna Chin, Minh Ngo, and Scott Thompson. National sponsor of the luncheon is Abbott Labs.
