The Fancy Dan Band:
Growing up in the Midwest, as the son of a preacher and a teacher,
Fancy Dan realized his true calling as a humdinger folksinger country
stroller rock and roller and in 2006 he headed west for the San
Francisco Bay Area in attempts to be as Fancy as humanly possible.
Starting in 2007, Fancy Dan put together a band with 3 first-rate
musicians that now includes Joe Gusich on drums, Mark Underwood on
upright bass, and Michael Loebs on electric guitar, who give his songs
the power they deserve. The band has a brand-new CD out called "Born
Fancy," recorded in Nashville.

My Old Lady:
Twins Elizabeth and Spencer were born on the Mississippi delta in New
Orleans. They headed upriver to grow up in a town in Missouri. As a
teen, Spencer spent his time learning led zepplin solos and taking
apart, among other things, his electric guitar. Several years later he
packed up and headed to luthier school on Vancouver Island and then to
Sweden. During all his travels, Spencer spent serious time with the
music of Bill Monroe, John Hartford, and Django Reinhardt. Elizabeth
eventually convinced him to move out to sf to make moves. Elizabeth, a
little late to the party, came to americana by way of john hartford,
mississippi john hurt, and gillian welch and david rawlings during
college. Since then she's taken to listening to and researching
americana. She picked up the guitar and the banjo in the past couple
of years and has begun writing songs about lives she has not lived.

Shovelman:
Isaac Frankle, a.k.a. Shovelman, is a surrealistic songwriter who
plays an electric guitar that's made out of a shovel. This is no
April Fool's trick!
