The health of Americans is failing, in part, because of modifiable risk factors such as poor nutrition, obesity, sedentary lifestyles, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol. An estimated 47 million U.S residents have cardiometabolic risk which includes one out of ten children ages 12 – 19 and another 81 million have heart disease. The American Summit on Cardiometabolic Disease (ASCMD) will provide clinicians and health practitioners and influencers information that will enhance knowledge, prevention, treatment and outcomes for cardiometabolic disease and offer an understanding of the central role of nutrition in health.

ASCMD will provide two days of education and networking:

Advanced education for clinicians and healthcare practitioners with CME credits offered.

Influencers-Valuable education for employers, municipalities (police, fire, EMTs, school systems), churches, nursing home administrators, government, caregivers and others involved in managing employees, students or members and those involved in purchasing, delivering, managing and administering health care services and benefits.
