Leading Researchers to Present Groundbreaking Findings
At Chicago Event
(Chicago) — On Saturday, October 1, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.,some of the world’s leading physicians will be coming to Chicago to present their groundbreaking research and findings at the 1st American Summit on Cardiometabolic Disease.
The goal of the summit, which will be held at the Illinois Institute of Technology, located at 3241 S. Federal Street, in Chicago, is to halt the continued erosion of American's health by providing current information on prevention, treatment and outcomes that can lead to disease reduction, avoidance, or reversal, and overall healthier lifestyles.
The term Cardiometabolic Disease is used to describe a combination of at least two risk factors, such as hypertension, high cholesterol, obesity and physical inactivity that may lead to an increased risk of developing type II diabetes and risk of heart attack or stroke. While an estimated 47 million U.S residents currently have some cardiometabolic risk, most Americans have never heard of Cardiometabolic Disease.
This conference is targeted to physicians, pharmacists, nurses, dietitians, public health, allied health and other health industry professionals, stakeholders and advocates who can affect positive change in the communities they serve. The event also will feature presentations from other world-renowned research scientists and physicians. Attendees will leave with a greater understanding of their role in helping those they care about avert or delay the onset of the disease.
