American Songwriter & Fishman Songwriter Contest October 12, 2012

In what could possibly be American Songwriter’s equivalent of a four-button turnaround… Andrew Kelley Simons has been selected as The Voice of The American Songwriter Coffeehouse Tour.

“It was a thrill to listen to so many good songs by such a diverse group of singer-songwriters. I had a hard time just narrowing down my top picks,” said Chris DeMaria, Director of Marketing & Artist Relations for Fishman. “A lot of them were just so good that I went back to listen three or four times. Now the real fun starts. In fact, I wish I could go out on the road with the winner.”

Singer-songwriter judge John Oates of Hall & Oates added, “After hearing the finalists, I can assure any doubters that the future of songwriting is in very good hands… I’d be proud to do a co-write with any of them.”

Andrew Kelley Simons will take his songs on the road for ten gigs booked across the Northeast starting October 5, 2012.
