American Red Cross - Babysitter Training May 17, 2009

This course gives 11 to 15 year olds the skills and confidence to be great babysitters. Through hands-on activities, interactive video and lively discussions, the course teaches young people how to—

· Care for children and infants.

· Be good leaders and role models.

· Make good decisions, solve problems and stay safe.

· Handle emergencies such as injuries, illnesses and accidents.

· Write resumes and interview for jobs.

Plus, Babysitter’s Training helps youth build skills for success in the real world, including communication, leadership and business skills. Students receive engaging new take-home training materials, including a handbook for use in class and on the job; an emergency reference guide to help them handle common emergencies such as burns and cuts; and a CD-ROM loaded with interactive tools to help them run their own babysitting business.
