In February, the museum celebrates American Heart Month with special heart activities to raise awareness surrounding heart disease and heart health. Visitors can have their blood pressure and body mass index (BMI) checked, learn the signs of a heart attack, listen to heart sounds and more, every Thursday from 2 – 5 p.m. On weekends, they can see a heart dissection performed live by a science educator.
