Henrico County’s senior citizens will steal the spotlight at the Henrico County Public Schools’ Thirteenth-Annual American Grandstand on Friday, April 16 at Godwin High School from 6-8 p.m. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.
During this free musical extravaganza, guests will dance the night away to music presented by select student bands from middle schools in the county. The Naval JROTC cadets will present the colors. There will be a special salute to America’s service men and women and the crowning of Mr. and Ms. America.
High school juniors and seniors will serve as escorts. Students enrolled in Family and Consumer Sciences classes will prepare light refreshments.
In keeping with the patriotic spirit of the evening, attendees are encouraged to wear red, white and blue.
