American Chestnut Foundation Talk and Planting April 13, 2008

As part of the 265th celebration of Thomas Jefferson's birthday, the president of The American Chestnut Society and the president of the Virginia chapter of the American Chestnut Society, will speak at Poplar Forest on April 13, 2008.

Remarks will begin at 12:30 p.m. followed by a ceremonial tree planting on Poplar Forest's grounds.

The goal of TACF is to restore the American chestnut tree to its native range within the woodlands of the eastern United States.
