If you haven't already, don't forget to RSVP for the March AdFed Luncheon:
Wally Snyder, President of the American Advertising Federation President Speaks About the Advertising and Obesity Debate.
WHAT Wally Snyder, president and CEO of the American Advertising Federation (AAF), the parent organization of the New Mexico Advertising Federation will speak about advertising and obesity at the AdFed luncheon on March 21st.
With obesity on the rise in America, many groups are looking to the advertising industry as part of the cause. Critics believe that the industry is largely to blame for this rising health crisis, especially with regard to marketing to children. The advertising and food manufacturing industry, on the other hand, are listening to consumers and adjusting their products and campaigns accordingly.
With increased government scrutiny, legislative proposals and consumer concern, Snyder will address how the AAF is protecting the right to advertise while remaining a good corporate citizen.
