Alzheimer's Association Lecture Series February 16, 2011

Nazareth College and St. John’s Meadows, a senior living community, are proud to host a new lecture series focused on many different facets of Alzheimer’s disease. The Alzheimer’s Association Lecture Series will take place on the 3rd Wednesday of each month from 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. An RSVP is required to (585) 760-5400 or (800) 272-3900. Each lecture will be at St. John’s Meadows in the multi purpose room of the Briarwood building. The lecture series is organized by students in Nazareth’s Aging and Community Service class, which is a unique class made up of both Nazareth students and elders from St. John’s Meadows. The lectures will be done by the educators at the Alzheimer’s Association.

This discussion will cover warning signs of caregiver stress, ways to reduce caregiver stress, symptoms of depression, treatment of depression and the benefits of support groups.
