Alvin Ailey® American Dance Theater April 17, 2013

A staple at The Music Center since 1998, Ailey returns to Los Angeles as part of Glorya Kaufman Presents Dance at The Music Center 10th Season Anniversary under the leadership of its new artistic director Robert Battle. A homage to traditional modern dance techniques blended with the new, the Ailey company will perform three different programs of mixed repertory with classic Ailey works and contemporary masterworks of our time. Battle will draw from company classics, his own electrifying work as well as new works, brimming with wit and power, performed by dancers hailed as "sleek, athletic masters of the universe."
