The renowned Berlin-based artist Carsten Nicolai, whose minimalist, post-techno music is released under the name alva noto, presents Xerrox vol. 2, an evening of new and recent audio-visual works for solo laptop and video projection. Created from a range of ordinary source material ranging from Muzak to television advertisements, Nicolai compresses, multiplies, and alters this digital information into hypnotic progressions of sonic and visual abstraction.
