227 Maple Ave E
Vienna, Virginia 22180

Asheville-based Alt-Popsters Stephanie's Id, will perform original tunes and more at Jammin’ Java, located at 227 Ave East in Vienna on Thursday, July 20, at 8 pm. Stephanie’s Id will perform along with Baltimore's family of excellent spirits, Solarium and NYC indie-pop musician, David Poe.

Asheville-based Stephanie's Id drape modernist lyrics over lush music and a histrionic live show. The band gathered the best musicians from various ensembles in the musical hotbed of Asheville, NC in 2003 and merged them with a "hyperactive siren". The alarmingly beautiful alt-rock sound leans on vibraphone, keyboard, Fender Rhodes bass, drums, and female vocals. Singer Stephanie Morgan places idiosyncratic, pictorial lyrics amid long, bended howls. Her dynamic vocal style has elicited comparisons to Bjork, Beth Gibbons of Portishead, and Steven Tyler of Aerosmith. Accomplished pianist Chuck Lichtenberger and symphonic-level percussionists Matthew Richmond and Cameron Juroff are apt to switch instruments on stage. The band will be joined by Holiday Childress of The Goodies and Mike Alexander on cello.

The Stephanie's Id performance will begin at 8 pm. The show is an all age’s show and will be $10 at the door.
