ALOUD: Live at The Paradise Rock Club: Saturday, July 11th
"Pound-your-foot pop rock… Jen de la Osa and Henry Beguiristain trade powerhouse vocals as the hometown heroes.” -Boston Band Crush
"The music is raw rock with a hard punk edge to certain tunes, all rooted around a classic Americana core... de la Osa’s voice is feminine yet forceful, commanding and confident but also capable of emotional tenderness. She’s able to flip a sonic switch and fill the room with her powerful vocals" -The Wire

Fiery co-ed rockers Aloud make their debut at the legendary Paradise Rock Club on Saturday, July 11, 2009 at 9:00pm. Aloud is extremely excited to be performing in one of Boston’s finest live rooms. According to front-man Henry Beguiristain, playing The Paradise's main room has been a goal of the band ever since they were a band. "We're all smiles about this," he says. "It's thrilling to finally play this place that I've passed by thousands of times riding on the B-line." Aloud’s front-woman Jen de la Osa agrees, "It's one of those rooms you aspire to play in Boston. Immaculate sound, gorgeous lights... I've seen many a great show there. Just the fact that so many amazing bands have played that stage is compelling enough reason to be heartily excited to do the same."
Aloud is also thrilled to be performing with The Luxury on the night of The Luxury’s CD release. Jen and Henry have known Luxury front-man Jason Dunn for a very long time, ever since he was fronting The Halogens. Henry says the two bands have had "a long interesting relationship, and for years our histories have intertwined in funny ways… we very nearly shared the same drummer at one point! We were also at the center of the storm, so to speak, when the Luxury was forming back in 2005." Jen adds, "It'll be great to play with the Luxury again, as it's been a while, and I'm happy they thought of us for their CD release."
Based in Boston, Aloud is known for their powerful boy/girl vocal team, smart lyrics, and hooky melodies, and is currently touring in support of their CD Fan The Fury. Produced by former Sony Records engineer Chuck Brody, the CD features Aloud’s dual vocal team of matter-of-fact tenor/screamer Henry Beguiristain and extraordinary alto/crooner Jen de la Osa. The pair recites and belts over their own shimmering guitars and rockin’ drum/bass rhythms. A dynamic collection, AlgoRhythms says Fan The Fury is "packed with twenty-something rage, but also brims with flourishes and crescendos"
