Fiery rock n’ roll band Aloud pays tribute to the Rolling Stones during Copycat’s Brian Jones Birthday Bash II on Wednesday, February 25, 2009. Hosted by DJ Xerox, Copycat is a bi-weekly party in residence at Otto’s Shrunken Head, the East Village’s best dive/tiki bar. Copycat features original rock bands performing rare cover sets of the musicians that inspire them. Brian Jones was a founding member of The Rolling Stones, who died young in 1969. Copycat celebrates Jones’ contribution to rock n’ roll with a second-annual birthday bash on February 25, 2009, three days before what would have been Jones’ 67th birthday.

Aloud is excited to be performing at the bash with Radio Silent & the Doug Grey Band. Aloud is known for their powerful boy/girl vocal team, smart lyrics, and hooky melodies, and lists The Rolling Stones among their influences. For Jones’ Birthday Bash, Aloud will be rearranging Stones classics and performing original tunes from their new CD Fan The Fury. Aloud’s performance at Copycat is the last date on their February tour. Other cities on the tour include Washington DC, Raleigh, Atlanta, Miami, Philadelphia and more.
