Allison Smith: Piece Work April 17, 2011

Oakland-based artist, Allison Smith, presents her sculptures and works on paper that refer to different American decorative arts and craft traditions in the exhibit Piece Work. Many of the works on exhibit recall various craft traditions that were born in the cultures of wartime. In addition, the exhibition features a suite of programs inviting local artists, craftsmen and visitors to create work in the museum.
