NEW ADVENTURES IN SOUND ART CELEBRATES 11 YEARS!
NAISA SOUND BASH CONCERT SERIES with Allison Cameron/Germaine Liu
Evening Performance March 17 @ 8pm / $10
NAISA Space, 601 Christie St. #252, Toronto, ON
For the month of March, NAISA's installation space will be filled with everyday objects especially selected for the interesting sounds they make when struck or played, offering you a chance to play with sound and manipulate it live. NAISA's Sound Bash Concert series includes performances on this evolving instrument / sound installation. Join us for one of three special Saturday evening concerts with performances by artists Allison Cameron with Germaine Liu on March 17.
Germaine Liu is a Toronto-based percussionist, performer/composer, and creative improviser. Allison Cameron is a composer/performer who improvises using Casio instruments/keyboards/ukulele/banjo/radios/miscellaneous objects and toys. Both Germaine and Allison are familiar faces in Toronto's creative music scene. They perform in c_RL (pronounced curl) with the auspicious trumpet player Nicole Ramerpsaud. c_RL has recently finished recording it’s first CD with the generous assistance of the Ontario Arts Council Popular Music program.
