Alli's Journey - "Evening of Jazz" - Benefit Concert June 1, 2011

Alli’s Journey, is proud to announce its first “Evening of Jazz”, with David Warrack and The Canada Pops Orchestra, joined by six of some of Canada’s top jazz performers, at the Telus Centre for the Performing Arts, Koerner Hall on June 1st, 2011 at 7:30PM. Performers include 2011 Juno Award winner, Kellylee Evans, Vocal Jazz Album of the Year; Amanda Martinez, the renowned Latin Jazz singer nominated for “Latin Jazz Artist of the Year”, Shakura S’Aida, 2011 winner of Maple Blues Best Vocalist of the Year; Era Chorna, known to be one of the Canadian Jazz scene’s rising stars this year exhibiting multi-talented brilliance; Sophie Berkal-Sarbit, who will perform from her new album “Young and Foolish” and John Alcorn, a 2009 National Jazz Artist nominee. Proceeds for the concert will go to Alli’s Journey projects, and the construction of a sanctuary for young adults with cancer at Sunnybrook hospital in Toronto.
