The event, now in its seventh year, is organized annually by the Allegheny National Forest, the US Army Corps of Engineers, PA Fish and Boat Commission and the Warren County Adult Probation and Parole. Organized groups, such as Boy and Girl Scout troops, are encouraged to participate. According to event organizer Nathan Welker, “Thanks to the hard work of our partners and volunteers, the shorelines and waters of the Allegheny Reservoir are safer and cleaner for the wildlife and recreationalists who use them.”
