All-Female Jam Session hosted by Valley Folk March 29, 2009

A jam session for females of all ages. Bring your treble voices, your acoustic instruments. Prepare music you can do by heart with others joining in or bring multiple copies of words or notes to share. Songs and tunes with a chorus or refrain work well in this kind of situation, but we'll play it by ear, so to speak. There will be opportunities to lead songs and tunes and plenty of chances to join in on the chorus, make up harmonies, etc. Bring guitars, fiddles, and other stringed instruments or your favorite woodwind or brass instrument if you want to try to jam along or improvise. Any kind of vocal music, folk, blues, swing, jazz, country, madrigals, do-wop, classical, rounds to sing - whatever you want to try. Enthusiasm much more important than skill level. This is a good place to try new things.
