Alika, an Argentinian who has become one of the most prominent women in Latin reggae, started out in a hardcore hip-hop band, Actitud Maria Marta, which she left for rastafari enlightenment. She has released a couple of albums with her band Nueva Alianza, including the most recent, "Razon Meditacion Accion."

Quinto Sol takes you on a world beat tour unlike any reggae band in the music circuit. Formed in the artist/activist community of East Los Angeles, the group of musicians is known for their emotion and sound that is deeply rooted in community and roots music.

Quinto Sol uses lyrics and live performances as a tool to spread awareness of socio-political and economic issues facing their communities. The group is currently working on its third and most anticipated album, "Spirits of the Martyrs," a tribute to all the heroes that fought and died for land, love, peace, and dignity.

From the roots-reggae song, "Mexica Tiahui," to the up-tempo cumbia/salsa jam, "Tocani," and the reggae/cumbia/salsa mix "Sangre," youll be sure to feel the contagious, inspiring and poignant music.
