"Picturing Eden photographic artist Alec Soth presents the illustrated lecture "The Work of Alec Soth." The New York Times has declared him a "great discovery" while Photo District News flagged him as one of "30 Emerging Photographers to Watch." Soth is garnering international acclaim from collectors as well as art critics, who often compare his work to Walker Evans and Robert Frank. His photography has been called both documentary and art; Soth calls it editorial. Soth has published two critically acclaimed monographs, Sleeping by the Mississippi and Niagara, and will take part in a booksigning following the lecture in the Dryden Theatre. Included with museum admission. Sponsored by Deborah Ronnen Fine Art."
