The new executive of the Alberta Greens has decided to convene a General Meeting of the party at which very significant decisions about the future of the party may be made.
Unfortunately, the timing and location of the meeting will serve to keep the majority of members who do not live in the vicinity from attending. Further, no provision is being made for mail-in ballots. This will effectively exclude the majority of existing members from having a meaningful say in the direction of the party.

An important General Meeting of the Alberta Greens will be convened at 7:00 pm Wednesday January 21, 2009 at the Hoadley Community Hall in Hoadley, Alberta.
The purpose of this meeting is to review recent party developments,
• discuss and debate the adoption of a new Constitution and a new set of Bylaws,
• and to approve the necessary changes to plan a way forward.
The Constitutional Committee organized on September 27th 2008 has submitted for adoption to the membership, a newly constructed Constitution and a newly constructed set of Bylaws. The proposed Constitution and Bylaws can be viewed on line at www.albertagreens.ca. A print copy can be mailed to you upon request.
Hoadley Hall: From Hwy 2 heading south of Edmonton, take the secondary hwy 611 exit south of Wetaskiwin, west to Hoadley. (straight across the intersection between 611 and Hwy 20.)
From Hwy 2, heading north from Calgary take the Hwy 12 turnoff west from Lacombe overpass, through Bentley, north on Hwy 20 (toward Rimbey, but stay on the bypass), to the secondary hwy 611 intersection. Turn left. Hoadley Hall is the first left after the intersection, on your right hand side.
