Albany Poets Presents...The Poet Essence October 3, 2006

Music and poetry open mic this month with a very special performance by The Poet Essence and more.

The Poet Essence is a poet and spoken word artist who has released two CD's of her work: “Persuasively Seduced” and “Four Seasons”, that are available by special order either at area stores like Best Buy or online at www.cdbaby.com/poetessence. She has performed at Show Time at the Apollo (Harlem, NY), Blue Note (New York, NY), New Age Cabaret (Albany, NY), Bayou Café (Albany, NY), Valentines (Albany, NY), Tess’ Lark Tavern (Albany, NY), Soul Kitchen (Albany, NY), The Egg (Albany, NY), and many more venues around the country. She has also recently toured four cities with HBO’s “Def Poetry” performer Black Ice.

Open Mic sign up begins at 7:00PM. There is a $3.00 suggested donation for this event.

Albany Poets Presents will begin at 8:00PM on Tuesday, October 3, 2006 at Valentines Music Hall (17 New Scotland Ave.).
