Alan Emerson Hicks will create an installation titled 'Clouds of Baghdad' made from plastic bags and video tape. Video tape will hang from the ceiling in columns, while the plastic bags will be converted into linked rings of suspended cloud forms. His work draws attention to trash and throw-away objects by making them appear precious and beautiful. The public will be invited to bring unwanted plastic bags and video tape to become part of the installation. Hicks will also practice his Amagic art making@ routine, which uses video tape, hula hoops, plastic bags, movement and sound.
